About Nilay

A Foundation Built on Care, Dignity & Hope

Nilay Social Foundation is a Pune-based non-profit organization dedicated to creating a compassionate and inclusive society. The name “Nilay”, derived from Sanskrit, means home, shelter, and a place of peace. True to its meaning, the foundation strives to become a safe and supportive “home” for individuals and communities in need.

We believe that real change begins when people feel secure, supported, and empowered. With this belief at our core, Nilay Social Foundation works across key areas such as education, healthcare, women empowerment, child welfare, environmental sustainability, and rural development.

Guiding Principles of Nilay

Inclusive, Empowered Society

Compassion, Dignity, Equality

We believe every individual deserves access to education, basic healthcare, dignity, and equal opportunities — along with a safe place to belong, a true “Nilay.”
