As part of its ongoing community outreach, trustees of Nilay Social Foundation visited Real Life Real People Foundation, which operates Sawali Niwara Kendra — a shelter and rehabilitation home for orphaned, elderly, and destitute individuals — functioning under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Pimpri, Pune.
The Visiting Team
- Sunil Gade — Adhyaksh (President) Trustee
- Dr. Manoj Mastud — Upadhyaksh (Vice President) Trustee
- Jyotiraj Mothi — Secretary Trustee
- Samuel Gajbhiv — Trustee
What Happened
Sawali Niwara Kendra provides shelter, care, and dignity to orphaned, elderly, and destitute residents who have nowhere else to turn. During the visit, Dr. Manoj Mastud spent time directly engaging and entertaining the residents, lifting their spirits through personal interaction in the centre’s hall. Secretary Trustee Jyotiraj Mothi appreciated the dedicated service being provided at the centre and assured that Nilay Social Foundation would extend further support and assistance going forward.

Why This Matters
Nilay Social Foundation’s mission is rooted in the idea of “Nilay” — a home of security, dignity, and growth. Visits like this reflect that mission in action: standing beside those who are often overlooked, and reaffirming that every individual deserves compassion and a sense of belonging.

Outcome
The visit strengthened ties between the two organisations, with Nilay Social Foundation committing to continued support for Sawali Niwara Kendra’s residents in the days ahead.
